Yes, in PageOn PDF Pro. Sign & Forms → Engineer - Technician Stamp (F). Set up a round seal with your name, designation (P.Eng., P.Tech., C.E.T. and others), licence number, association and region, or your company’s Permit to Practice stamp with its permit number and wording. Add your signature, or upload a scan of your own seal. The date is added when you place it. Check the wording and layout match what your association requires.
Yes. With Revision cloud, Rectangle or Ellipse, choose At an angle in the tool panel, drag along one side, then move out for the depth and click. Any of them can also be turned later with the round handle above it, or by typing an angle in Properties.
Point at it: the markup a click will pick gets a thin blue outline, and small markups win over a cloud or box drawn around them. Alt-click steps through markups stacked exactly on top of each other, and right-click lists everything at that spot so you can choose. Tab moves from markup to markup.
Yes. Shift- or Ctrl-click markups to select several, or hold Shift and drag a box around them; Ctrl+A selects every markup on the page. Drag one to move them all, change their colour or line width together, and see the total length, area and count of the selected measurements. Right-click for Cut, Copy, Paste, Duplicate, Delete and more.
Yes. PageOn PDF Free is free forever: open PDFs, scans, Word and Excel files and DXF drawings, search and print; fill in forms and save them; and review with highlights, underlines, strikeouts and sticky-note comments, saved as standard PDF comments that Adobe, Bluebeam and Foxit show. PageOn PDF Pro adds every other markup (shapes, clouds, text boxes, callouts, pen), editing text, signing and stamps, measuring, compare, Quick Grab, every PDF tool (merge, split, compress, protect, redact, PDF/A and more), converting and the AI tools.
Choose a plan on the pricing page: monthly or annual (cancel any time; it keeps working until the end of the period you paid for) or, where offered, a one-time lifetime licence. Updates are included with every plan.
Every Pro feature, for 14 days. You don't need a card to try it. The days left show at the top right of the app.
PageOn PDF keeps working as PageOn PDF Free (read, search, print, fill in forms, highlight, underline, strike out and add sticky notes). Sign in with the account you created when you bought Pro to unlock everything again. Your files and settings stay where they are.
Each plan covers two computers signed in at the same time, in any mix of Windows, Mac and Linux (for example your office PC and your laptop), plus two phones or tablets (iPad, iPhone or Android). They all work at once: a Windows PC and an iPad on one licence is fine. To move a seat to a new device, sign out on the old one or use your account page.
Yes. In PageOn PDF choose Sign & Forms, then Request signatures. Add each person's name and email, place the Sign here, initials, date and name boxes for each of them, and press Send. They get an email with a private link and sign in any web browser, with no account or app. You can follow progress, send reminders or cancel under Menu, then Signature requests. When everyone has signed, everyone gets the signed PDF with a certificate page showing who signed, when, from which IP address, and a fingerprint of the original so any change shows. Requesting signatures needs a Pro plan; signing is free for the people you send it to.
For most everyday business documents, yes: electronic signature laws in Canada, the United States, the UK and the EU accept a signature the signer agreed to give electronically, and PageOn records that agreement with the time, IP address and a fingerprint of the document. Some documents (for example wills, some property deeds and certain government forms) still need a handwritten or certified signature. If in doubt, check the rules for your document.
Yes, once switched on: the sign-in screen in the app and the account page show Continue with Microsoft, Continue with Google and Continue with Apple. You finish signing in in your browser and PageOn unlocks by itself. Use the account that has the same email address you bought with; your licence follows that email. Email and password always work too.
In the app choose Menu → Licence & account → Sign out of this computer, or release the old computer from your account page. Then sign in on the new one.
Yes. It checks in about once a week when you're online and only asks you to connect after 30 days without a connection.
No. Documents are opened, read and edited on your own device, including text recognition of scans. Only sign-in and the weekly licence check contact the PageOn server. The one exception is the optional AI tools (Summarize and Translate): when you choose one, the document's text is sent securely to the PageOn AI service for that job only, and it is not stored or used for training. You are told before anything is sent.
Yes (Pro). PageOn reads the scan on your computer, then you click any line and retype it. On normal PDFs the new words are drawn with the document's own embedded font, bold stays bold, the rest of the line shifts to fit, and the old words are removed from the file, not just covered. Scans are cleaned up and straightened before reading, small print is re-read at higher resolution, and English and French are built in.
It opens PDF, scanned PDFs, Word (.docx, .doc), Excel (.xlsx, .xls), PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt), CSV, text, RTF, OpenDocument, DXF drawings and JPG/PNG images (Office files are converted with your installed Office apps when available). It saves PDF (editable, flattened or clean), PDF/A, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PNG, JPG, Markdown, text and a CSV list of markups.
Windows 10 or 11 (no administrator rights needed), a Mac with macOS 11 or newer, or Linux (Ubuntu 20.04 or newer, Debian, Mint, Fedora and most others; Intel/AMD or ARM). Phones and tablets: iPhone, iPad or Android, installed from the web. Any up-to-date browser on a Chromebook or other computer works too.
Yes. One universal app for Apple silicon (M1 and newer) and Intel Macs; no Rosetta is needed. The first time you open it, macOS asks you to allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security (Open Anyway) because the app is not yet notarized.
Yes. Download the AppImage (runs on almost any distribution: make it executable and double-click it) or the .deb package for Ubuntu, Debian and Mint. Both come for Intel/AMD and ARM computers and update themselves. Word and Excel files open with the built-in converter; install LibreOffice for PowerPoint and the most faithful look. There is no PageOn printer on Linux: use Print → Print to File (PDF) in any program, then open the file.
Yes. Open the PageOn web address on your phone or tablet and choose Add to Home Screen (iPhone/iPad) or Install app (Android). It opens PDFs, scans, Word, Excel, CSV and text files, and has the markup, measuring, signing, forms and PDF tools; projects are kept on the device. Two phones or tablets are included with Pro, on top of your two computers; the Reader is free.
Yes. That is PageOn adding its PDF printer, called "PageOn PDF", so any program can print straight into PageOn. Adding a printer needs permission once, and Windows names the tool that does it (PowerShell) instead of PageOn. Choose Yes. If you would rather not, choose No: everything else works, and you can add the printer later in Settings → Print to PageOn.
Yes. Click More info → Run anyway.
Yes. PageOn asks the first time it opens: click Make default, then click Set default in the Windows Settings window. You can also do it any time from the Menu.
Yes, on Windows and Mac. On Windows, PageOn offers to add a printer called "PageOn PDF" the first time it opens (Windows asks once whether to allow Windows PowerShell; choose Yes), or add it any time in Settings → Print to PageOn. In any program choose File → Print → PageOn PDF: the PDF opens in PageOn straight away and a copy is kept in Documents › PageOn PDF › Printed. On a Mac, every Print dialog's PDF menu lists "PageOn PDF" after the first launch. On Linux, use Print → Print to File (PDF), then open the file in PageOn.
Yes, for Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It adds Open in PageOn PDF to PDFs on the web, including ones behind a sign-in such as SharePoint or Outlook on the web.
On Windows and Linux, PageOn PDF downloads updates in the background and installs them the next time you close the app; you can switch this off or check for updates in Menu → Settings → Updates. On a Mac it tells you when a new version is available to download. Phones and tablets update themselves. Your settings and licence are kept.
Windows: Settings → Apps → PageOn PDF → Uninstall. Mac: drag PageOn PDF from Applications to the Bin. Linux: delete the AppImage file, or for the .deb run sudo apt remove pageon-pdf. Phone or tablet: remove the icon like any other app.
Yes, and they run on your own computer, so nothing is uploaded. Menu → All PDF tools gives you merge, split, remove and extract pages, organize, scan to PDF, compress, repair, OCR, JPG/Word/PowerPoint/Excel/HTML to PDF, PDF to JPG/Word/PowerPoint/Excel/PDF-A/Markdown, extract images, rotate, page numbers, watermark, crop, edit, form fields, unlock, protect, sign, redact, compare, summarize and translate.
Yes. Export (or Share) as "PDF · markups as standard comments" and every markup becomes a normal PDF comment with your name, date, status and note, so Acrobat, Reader, Bluebeam, Foxit and Preview show them in their comment lists and can reply, move or delete them. Comments made in those apps can be imported into PageOn as live markups from the Comments panel.
Yes. The share button beside Export emails the PDF (a new Outlook or Mail message with it attached), saves it into your OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud folder so you can copy a link, or on a phone opens the normal share sheet.
Yes. Projects (the Projects button beside Open at the top, or Menu → Projects) turns a folder in your share — OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or a network drive — into a project: name, job number, client and colour. PageOn lists every PDF, drawing and image in that folder with thumbnails and search, opens them, and saves marked-up copies, exports and extracted pages straight back into it (Save to project). Anyone who can see the folder opens the same project. Works in the installed app and in Chrome or Edge.
Yes. Projects → Notes & calendar: post notes, log changes (saving a file into the project logs one automatically) and add events on a small calendar. Everything is kept in the project's shared folder, so everyone with the share sees the same thing, and events export to Outlook, Teams or Google Calendar (.ics).
Yes. Projects → Search files indexes the text of every PDF in the project (all pages) and searches it with the file names and team notes; click a result to open that file at that page. The index is kept in the project folder so the whole team benefits. Scans need OCR first to have text to search.
Yes, through the project folder. Each person's markups are saved automatically as a small file beside the drawing (drawing.pdf.pageon/their-name.json) as they work. PageOn watches the folder, so a colleague's markups appear on your screen within moments of their share syncing, tagged with their name, and exports include everyone's. Nobody overwrites anyone else's work, and there is no server or account to set up.
Yes (Pro). Draw boxes with the Redact tool or use Find and redact to mark every occurrence of a word, then Apply redactions. The pages are rebuilt so the text underneath is really gone, not just covered, and the rest of the page stays searchable.
Yes. The Word file keeps the page size and margins, each run of text in its font, size and colour, the real line spacing and alignment, tables as real Word tables, pictures where they were, and any page graphics behind the text — close to what you get from Acrobat. PDF to Excel puts tables straight into columns.
Yes. Save as / Export (Ctrl+Shift+S) has a PDF standard choice: PDF/A-1b, PDF/A-2b, PDF/A-3b, PDF/X-4 or PDF 1.4. Archive and print standards store each page as an image with a searchable text layer, an embedded font and an sRGB profile, which every validator accepts.
Yes. In Sign & Forms choose Digital stamp (or press J) and click the page. It places a neat block that reads "Digitally stamped by", your name, the date and time in your computer's time zone, a reference ID and a faded logo. You can keep several stamps (for example "Reviewed", "Approved for construction", one per company you work for), each with its own title, company, colour and logo: add them under Menu → Settings → Digital stamps and pick the one you want in the tool panel before you click. Stamps are drawn into the exported PDF, so they show in any PDF viewer.
Yes. The Quick Access strip beside the page holds whatever you choose: drawing tools, your individual digital stamps, PDF tools, Save, Share, Print and more, in your order, at the left of the page or along the top, with or without names. Right-click the strip (or Menu → Settings → Quick Access) to customise it, and right-click any tool in the Toolbox to add it. Alt+1 to Alt+9 run the first nine items.
Yes. In Settings → Digital stamps choose one of your saved signatures (made with the Signature tool) or upload a picture of your signature for any stamp profile. It prints in full ink under the stamp text with a "Signed" line, and is drawn into the exported PDF.
Yes. A watermark is a setting on the document, not something burnt in straight away: Tools → Watermark reopens it with the current text, pages, colour, angle and layout, and has a Remove button; the Comments panel shows it with Edit and Remove too. It is drawn into the pages when you save or export, and stays editable in the editable PageOn copy.
Yes. Open the Comments panel and click Redline summary report (it is also in the Toolbox, the Menu, All PDF tools → Review and Export). PageOn builds a PDF report: a summary page with counts by status, type, reviewer and page plus every measurement; each marked-up page with the markups numbered; and a details table with a snapshot of every markup, its reviewer, date, status and note. You can limit it to certain pages, statuses or one reviewer, sort it, pick the layout and snapshot size, append it to the end of the PDF or keep it as its own file, and save a CSV beside it. Preview opens it in a new tab before you save. The header uses your digital-stamp company and logo, and the drawing itself is never changed.
Yes. In Measure & Takeoff → Count, each count has a label (A, G1, Bolt… — type whatever you like), a name and a colour, and its badges read A1, A2, A3… carrying on from page to page. Click + New count (or press Enter) to start the next one in the next colour, or click a count in the Counts in this document list to carry on with it. The Properties panel renames a count or changes its start number on every page at once. Totals per count show in the Comments panel, the CSV / Excel takeoff export and the Redline summary report.
Use Save as / Export (Ctrl+Shift+S) and pick PDF · markups flattened. If a PDF is damaged or was produced by an unusual tool, PageOn repairs it automatically before saving, and if it still can't be rewritten the pages are saved as pictures with your markups drawn on top (the text stays searchable). If the file you're saving over is open in another program or being synced by OneDrive, PageOn saves beside it as "name (copy).pdf" and tells you. If you still see an error, use Copy details in the message and send it to support with the PDF.
Yes. Choose New blank document on the welcome screen (or press Ctrl+N), pick the paper size, orientation and number of pages, then type with the Text box, paste text or images with Ctrl+V, draw, add pages and export the PDF.
Yes (Pro). Protect PDF adds an open password with AES-256 encryption and lets you block editing, copying or printing. Unlock PDF removes a password you know. Protected PDFs open normally in PageOn once you enter the password.
Summarize writes a short summary of the document; Translate produces a translated PDF in the language you pick. They are included with Pro at no extra charge, with a fair daily limit per licence. They need an internet connection, and the document text is sent securely to the PageOn AI service for that job only. You can also use your own AI account instead: in Settings → AI tools choose Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google (Gemini) and paste an API key from that account. The key stays on your computer, the document text goes straight to that provider, and the usage is billed to your own account, so there is no daily PageOn limit.
Yes. Open the Pages panel, click a page thumbnail (Ctrl-click or Shift-click to select several) and right-click. The menu offers Extract to a new PDF, Save as PNG, Rotate left or right, Duplicate, Insert blank page before or after, Insert a file, Move to start or end, and Delete. Every change can be undone with Ctrl+Z, and markups move with their pages.
